To the Family,

May her dear little soul rest in peace…. from the picture i can see that she was a beautifull child. I also have a 2 year old little girl and all i can say is at this age they are so innocent and trusting AND cute….2 year old’s are truly Angels at this age and i find it very hard to understand how somebody could do this. This man should STAY behind bars forever and ever and the keys be thrown away. I am so very sorry for your lose, it deeply saddens me to see this sort of crime being carried out on a child.

Liz,

I am so disappointed that the jury did not come back with a more appropriate decision. Savon deserves much more than this! I can only agree with you that all those who were responsible for caring for this child be brought to account for their actions and inactions. I hope that his “father” and “mother” are never allowed custody of any more children. Social services should remain vigilant to keep this from ever happening again.

UPDATE….the jury has found the father not guilty of felonious assult and guilty of child endangering. He faces up to 8 years in prison, the jury believed that he did not do it. It is sad to hear this news he gets sentenced on March 11. There is absolutely no justice here he can get out and hurt another child, my sister will support him like she has for the past year believing him that he is god in her eyes. She did not once ask who did this to Savon, its like Savon is being punished for crying or wanting to be loved. I do believe the court system needs to go after the aunt and cousin who were supposed to be the caregivers and also my sister who I believe knows what happened. Next chapter in our fight is……still to seek justice but to seek peace for Savon if someone really had a voice for Savon they would help lift him up to heaven where he belongs. I will never forgive my sister for what she has become by standing by this monster and these men in her life.

I believe that what they did they should be put in the death chair. It’s NOT right for adults to murrder kids, and it’s NOT right that stepmother did that to her i mean come on really shes only three years old and how could she be messing up their relationship. I BELIEVE THAT JENIFER IS A SICK TWISTED PERSON AND SHOULDN’T BE ALIVE!! ALONG WITH JOE GLAVAN FOR KNOWING THAT SHE WAS DOING ITT!!!!! i dont really know Prhaze, but i love her to death!!!!

Sandra is it? do you happen to know Casey at all? Do you know her friends in Las Vegas? Do you know the biggest similarity about KC and LV? Shall I assume you know both Casey and Javier? Then you should know what COULD happen in their “home” and what DID happen. Those boys belonged with their biological father. Point blank period and none of this would have happened.
Another good point, you may not “believe it was Javier” but I would have never “believed” my brother would have grown up to kill someone either while “all methed up.” Get with the real world sweetheart and just pray for Javier in this time. Because reality is he’ll be lucky and blessed to get P.C’d up for the rest of his life instead of out there with the general population!!!!

Thanks for the update. There is so much that is tragic about this case, but nothing more tragic than the fact that it NEVER should have happened. If the mandate of DCFS had been followed, Edwards would have never been close enough to Savon to inflict injuries upon the sweet little boy.

I hope justice is done in this case, but I can never believe it will be adequate.

Update:
Ricky the “father” has been on trial since Wednesday we are not sure what has been going on since we have not been down to court our family has tried to stay our distance due to threats from my sister Savons “mother”. We expect to hear something next week possible a verdict, there have been 3 articles @ cincinnati.com n the past week. We pray that justice is served for Savon so he can be at peace, we know he is playing up in heaven just like a normal child.
