Update:
We went to court yesterday we did see my sister Savons mom she was crying of course. Rickys family and Tammy were waititng out in the hallway until Ricky came through. Savons sister wrote letters to the judge for support of Savon no one had Savon on their mind in his family or his own mother. My sister spoke up for this monster, his dad and aunt as well. There were a couple of officers in the court room and the procecuter told us that there would be drama I think my sister could be the next Susan Lucci. As they were reading the sentence of 8 yrs which is the max my sister ran out screaming and crying. She came back in more officers were called in they blocked the court room doors so she couldn’t leave she told them she was having an anxiety attack and passed out. We think her plan was to see him one last time before he went back to the jail. His family made some comments to us like they don’t even care about their own daughter and that we turned her kids on their mother. So a stress filled day turned out to be a little bit of justice for savon but not enough he is still laying in a bed hooked up to life support he got the death penalty while Ricky and everyone involved got off. Of course they are appealing the case and they asked for a new trial that was denied. Next chapter is to help Savon go where he needs to be and fight for stricter laws on child abuse and who we are allowing to care for children.

It is just assumed that she was murdered. Based on the one person’s testimony. The Mother however, did not witness her being murdered did she? There is no real evidence to substantiate that she indeed was murdered? Why wouldn’t the father or brother submitt a DNA test to go into a data base and then someone that would think they might be the missing person could also submit DNA. Everyone could remain anonymous in an effort not to give anyone false hope.

I just could not pass by this precious child’s page without leaving a comment for her. What a sad story it is that someone noticed the abuse, reported it, and yet it was not enough to protect her…. and to even have to protect her from a person who should have been protecting her themselves…. crying shame.
This is yet another beautiful angel child that will not live to see another birthday….

Absolutely beautiful… gone too soon.

Yes, her mother, father, and brother could all be asked to give DNA if there was any evidence recovered that might lead law enforcement to believe that they had found Michelle’s remain or to verify the identity of anyone who claim to be Michelle.

Could the brother or father possibly donate a DNA sample to an angency (if there is such an agency) to match if there were ever anyone who thought they may be this person or even if they would find some type of DNA on this missing girl to determine if there are any possible matches out there?

To the Family,

May her dear little soul rest in peace…. from the picture i can see that she was a beautifull child. I also have a 2 year old little girl and all i can say is at this age they are so innocent and trusting AND cute….2 year old’s are truly Angels at this age and i find it very hard to understand how somebody could do this. This man should STAY behind bars forever and ever and the keys be thrown away. I am so very sorry for your lose, it deeply saddens me to see this sort of crime being carried out on a child.

Liz,

I am so disappointed that the jury did not come back with a more appropriate decision. Savon deserves much more than this! I can only agree with you that all those who were responsible for caring for this child be brought to account for their actions and inactions. I hope that his “father” and “mother” are never allowed custody of any more children. Social services should remain vigilant to keep this from ever happening again.
