Merry Christmas, 2009, to all the angels

Friday, December 25th, 2009

To all the angels still on earth and those who have gone on to the place of no pain or fear, merry Christmas and thank you for allowing us to know you and to share your stories.

Some of your stories were heard by people long ago, but it is important that they be told again so that the world will not forget the lessons that your life contained.  Some of your stories are very recent and the pain is still fresh on the hearts of those who loved you.  Some of your stories are those of miracles that continue foster hope that sometimes those who have been taken away can return to rejoin their loved ones.  Some of your stories are those of inspiration, which spur us into action to right a wrong or destroy an evil.  And some of your stories are those of warning that but by the grace of God your story could be our story.

Thank you angels for bringing so much happiness while you were with us, so much compassion when you forgave us for failing you, and so much strength by enduring what you did.

For those of us who are fortunate to remember you, you will forever remain  exuberantly jubilant, blissfully innocent, and eternally cherished..

A year of angels

Monday, June 15th, 2009

angelchildrenThis blog started a year ago and since that time many angels have slipped the surly bonds of earth and kissed the face of God and some, thankfully, have been returned to the arms of their loved ones.  The first ones featured were Amina and Sarah Said, followed by Brooke Bennett, later Caylee Anthony, Tyler McMillan, and Katelynn Stinnett would tell their stories along with less well-known.  Along with news making stories, other angels were introduced, some recent and some old.  For some justice has been found, for others, justice still awaits, and for some, if not all, questions still remain. A total of 236 stories have been told; there are thousands more yet to be told and sadly more to unfold.

If you read this blog, take time to hug your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins because you never know when you will never again have the opportunity.  If you see abuse, please contact law enforcement or Child Protective Services because you will never regret making the call as much as you will regret not making it if something happens to the child.  And finally, remember that no child is ever truly gone if one person continues to remember their name.

Blessings…
